Walking Along the Rainbow
Citizens of a Danish city Aarhus have an opportunity to walk along the rainbow and see the city from a new angle, or to be more precise - in a new color. Here a new unusual round gallery was made, its walls are of various colors.
It's a covered panoramic site on the roof of the museum of modern art. The walls of this long and narrow site (52 m in diameter) are made of multi-colored glass.
According to the idea of the artist the panorama had to become the key point of the city. It had to divide the city into two sectors named depending on the color of the Olafur Eliasson's installation facing it.
Maybe soon the citizens of Aarhus will say: "We live in the yellow part of the city" or "We could hardly get from the red district to the green one today!"
The roof of the museum can be seen from any point of the city.
