external hard drive cua minh bi accidently deleted pkhi minh try install new window, khi minh bo cd vao de install new xp in desktop ( minh wuen la trong luc install new win xp cho desktop thi co gan external hard dive vao usb port), thi khi screen o mode detected pc info va khi den phan detected hard drive va co thay internal va external drive, nhung minh da accidently deleted lươn external drive, ( minh co try gan external drive do vao laptop khac nhung laptop van ko thay hard drive, ngay ca khi minh gan vao co nghe tieng bip cua laptop bao hieu la co detected dc usb, nhung lai ko thay hard drive, bay gio khong biet lam sao undelete lai dươc hay lam sao de ma thay drive do lai nhu trươc, trong do co rat nhieu file cua minh ( used 200G out of 250G), ban nao biet please chi cach giup gium minh, rat cam on cac ban

oops, sorry to hear about that. I think you formatted the external hard drive by accident. I hope you did the quick format , if you did full format , then forget it.
In case if you did quick format then the chance you can get data back will be 70%. But , you need software to do data recovery. I really haven't done it yet. I know there some data recovery softwares out there. You can wait for other better ideas.

Vậy thì không sao, bạn cài windows như ban đầu bạn làm , tới phần partition thì bạn undelete nó. Vì bạn chưa format tức là ok, windows chỉ đánh dấu delete thôi.

Hello Dragon,

Please don't do anything yet with your ext HD. I've seen up here (in the softwarez area), that there is/are few softwares that can recover your accidently deteleted ext HD, which had happened to me once, LOL, but luckily, I have a software that help me to rescue most (if not all) of my files). I bought this software called Restore 2000 (see if you can search for that or any similar software that would do the same), if not, contact me, I'll give you a copy of it. My contact email is giahuynguyen@yahoo.com. Remember, do not do anything with your ext HD yet, and make sure you have enough space of your other HD, because my program will try to save your files from your ext HD file to another HD, so if your internal HD is bigger than the ext HD, you're set.
